Pay attention to the NEWS but don’t get hung up on the STR chatter. It’s important to pay attention to the news and do your own homework. Just like fake news and media hype, you can’t believe everything you hear. You’ll hear people compare Short Term Rentals with Hotels. We are functionally different.

If you are not ready to buy, sell or invest, DON’T! A home is often a person or family’s biggest financial decision and asset. NO ONE can predict the market, so the timing needs to be right for you. At the end of the day, the biggest question to ask yourself is – are YOU ready to buy or sell?

Scared to buy because of the market? You don’t need to be, but you do need to be prepared. Preparation is your Agent’s job. Personally, I don’t sugar coat it. I try to be open and honest when providing tactics for my clients to consider – CONSIDER being the key word. From there, it is up to YOU to decide what you are and are not comfortable with.

…the offer price is the most important thing…WRONG! Not always.

Is it hard, discouraging, frustrating? It can be. Is it impossible to buy a house? No! May it take time to find the right one AND get an offer accepted? Sure. Is there a way you can prepare? Absolutely.

I’m going to be honest…there are days I love owning a rental property and other days, the thought of having two mortgages keeps me up at night. It’s been A LOT of hard work mixed with a little fun. And we’re sure that will continue but we're hoping for more fun and less work as time goes on ;) Here are the first lessons learned…
